IMMARSH REUNION 2020

It is with regret that the Committee has decided to cancel our Reunion in Liverpool in October. This decision was not taken lightly but with due consideration of the following:

  • Challenging measures which would have to be made within the hotel for large groups of people
  • The safety of members travelling on public transport
  • The uncertainty of how things are going to develop over the next couple of months.

With these issues in mind the Committee felt that this was the correct decision to make. If you have already booked your place your payment will be refunded in full.

We have decided that our reunion in 2021 will be held in Liverpool.

Lets make it a huge celebration, setting a challenge of having the largest group of past students together, coinciding with the closure of Barkhill and hopefully having seen the end of this awful pandemic.

So put the date in your diary now – Friday / Saturday 1st & 2nd OCTOBER 2021.

This years Journal is being worked on at present and will go out as normal in March.

It will include reports from the Committee which will act as our AGM for this year.

Once again, I am sorry this decision had to be made and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Liverpool 2021.

With best wishes and stay safe.

Barbara Graham

President of the Association of Past Students of IMMarsh.

APS Regional Reunion 2020

2nd/3rd October

Holiday Inn Hotel, Lime Street, Liverpool L1 1NQ

We look forward to welcoming APS members and non-members to our Annual Reunion in 2020.

Please try to find and encourage ex-IMM people to come along.

Liverpool is a city that is very special to us all and one that has had an amazing transformation in the last decade.  However, because of this, it is an enormously popular visitor destination and consequently hotel rooms get booked up very early and they are not cheap.  We have reserved some rooms for our members at the Holiday Inn but it is up to individuals to confirm their bookings and pay the hotel direct.  Please do not depend on getting a last minute deal, book early wherever you decide to stay.

The Holiday Inn – City Centre
Lime Street, Liverpool

The Holiday Inn Liverpool City Centre is in the heart of Liverpool’s vibrant city centre; located opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station, overlooking the neoclassical splendour of St. George’s Hall.

The hotel is a short walk from the Walker Art Gallery and the Empire Theatre. A 15-minute stroll takes you to the lively Albert Dock, packed with sites like the Beatles Museum and Tate Liverpool. The Liverpool One complex, teeming with shops and restaurants is right on the doorstep.

Let the train take the strain – the hotel is directly opposite Lime Street Station. However if you must bring your car there is a secure car park (St John’s) adjacent to the hotel at a rate of £6 per 24 hours . Parking tickets have to be counter-stamped by the hotel.

Our meeting takes place in the Liverpool 1 Suite which is on the 2nd floor, with stairs and lift access from the entrance foyer. Although the room has no natural light it is spacious and air-conditioned. Tea and coffee will be available in the concourse outside Liverpool 1. Lunch will be served in the Restaurant overlooking the city and dinner will be in Liverpool 2.

The AGM will finish at approx. 3pm in order to give you time to see something of Liverpool with your friends.

This year APS will not book any overnight rooms. This can be done directly with the Holiday Inn or you can choose to stay at any of the other hotels in the vicinity.

A booking form was inserted in your Journal if you are a member. If you require more booking forms, or you are not a member of APS and need booking forms, you can request them through this website.
